Respondent Brand and her daughter, respondent Cole, met appellant at the home of a mutual friend on or about October 10, 1928, and thereafter they all met with frequent regularity. During the course of these contacts, appellant learned that respondent Brand was to come into a cash inheritance of approximately $60,000 from the estate of an aunt. Appellant had been presented to respondent by the mutual friend in good faith as an honorable and reputable person, and one unusually skilled in the handling of real estate transactions, which recommendations appellant modestly…
