National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh (“National Union”), an issuer of financial guarantee bonds, brings the first five of these six actions (the “Note cases”) 1 to enforce its indemnity agreements with limited partners in tax shelter limited partnerships, and to enforce its rights as subrogee on the limited partners’ promissory notes which it honored on their behalf.
