The petitioner, Stanley Goodrum, appeals from the judgment of the habeas court denying his petition for a writ of habeas corpus. He claims on appeal that the court improperly failed to find that his trial counsel was ineffective because (1) counsel made errors (a) in his cross-examination of a prosecution witness, (b) by failing to request a jury instruction and (c) by failing to take exception to two jury instructions, (2) counsel advised him to plead guilty to one of the charges against him and failed to object properly when *299evidence of the plea was introduced at trial, (3)…
