MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

YOUNG, District Judge.

This is an application for attorneys’ fees under the Massachusetts Civil Rights Act, Mass. Gen. L. ch. 12, § 11I.

I. BACKGROUND

The plaintiffs, Steve Connolly (“Connolly”) and Paul Adao (“Adao”), brought a number of claims against the defendant, Woodrow T. Harrelson (“Harrelson”), including counts of assault and battery, intentional tort, and violations of the Massachusetts Civil Rights Act.
