Penal Code section 654 requires that “[a]n act or omission which is made punishable in different ways by different provisions of this *3code may be punished under either of such provisions, but in no case can it be punished under more than one . . . We have long held that this provision bars multiple punishment when a defendant is convicted of two or more offenses that are incident to one objective. (Neal v.
