PELLEGRINO, J.

The defendant, Juan Fernando Ramirez, appealed from the judgment of conviction, following a jury trial, of one count of sexual assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-70 (a) (l). This court reversed the judgment and remanded the case for a new trial after having concluded that the trial court improperly excluded certain testimony. State v. Ramirez, 79 Conn. App. 572, 830 A.2d 1165, cert. denied, 267 Conn. 902, 838 A.2d 211, 212 (2003) (Ramirez I). After retrial, the court again rendered judgment of conviction against the defendant, following a…
