This appeal requires us to consider whether various hearsay statements made by the deceased complainant to a police dispatcher, a responding police officer, and an emergency medical technician were “testimonial” and, therefore, inadmissible as violative of the confrontation clause of the sixth amendment to the United States constitution 1 as explained by Crawford v. Washington, 541 U.S. 36, 124 S. Ct. 1354, 158 L. Ed. 2d 177 (2004).
