This is an action for the wrongful death of Tamika Johnson, the daughter of appellees Cedric B. Johnson and Yvette Prather. Ms. Johnson was employed by appellant Burns International Security Services Corporation (“Burns Security”) at the time of her death, and Burns Security seeks interlocutory review of the trial court’s denial of its motion for summary judgment. Because we conclude that the appellees’ claims are barred by the exclusive remedy provisions of the Georgia Workers’ Compensation Act, OCGA§ 34-9-1 et seq., we must reverse the trial court and grant summary judgment in…
