OPINION

LESLIE BROCK YATES, Justice.

This is a defamation case arising out of a negative employment reference given by appellees, Scott M. Richards and Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc., to a private investigator hired by appellant, Barry A. Oliphint. The trial court granted appel-lees’ motion for summary judgment, and, in one point of error, Oliphint claims the trial court erred in doing so. We affirm.
