The defendant appeals1 from a judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a (a).2 On appeal, *406the defendant claims that the trial court improperly (1) instructed the jury on (a) the concurrence principle, (b) the defense of extreme emotional disturbance and (c) the effect of intoxication on intent, and (2) precluded the defendant from offering evidence of extreme emotional disturbance and intoxication at the hearing in probable cause.* *3 We affirm the judgment of the trial court.
