A jury convicted the defendant, Ronnie Hinton, of three counts of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a,1 one count of capital felony in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54b,2 one count of attempted murder in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-49 and 53a-54a,3 and one count of assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes (Rev. to 1989) § 53a-59.4 The defendant appeals to this court *303pursuant to General Statutes § 51-1995 from the judgment of the trial court sentencing him to a term of life imprisonment without possibility of release.6 He claims that the court…
