On or about October 5, 1917, Benito Amunategui, Guillermo Bilbao and Begnino Bermensola formed a copartnership to engage in the sheep business, known as Benito Amunategui Company. Benito Amunategui had theretofore been engaged in that business and was the owner of some sheep and the necessary equipment used in connection with that business. Bilbao and Bermensola purchased an equal interest in the sheep and outfit owned by Amunategui by giving him their notes and making small payments in cash.
