ANDERSON, Senior Judge:
A military judge, sitting as a general court-martial, convicted the appellant, pursuant to his pleas, of attempted unpremeditated murder of his son, premeditated murder of his son, two specifications of assault consummated by a battery on his wife, and kidnapping of his wife in violation of Articles 80, 118, 128, and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 880, 918, 928, and 934. The appellant was sentenced to confinement for life, total forfeiture of pay and allowances, reduction to pay grade E-l, and a dishonorable discharge. The convening authority…
