MEMORANDUM OPINION AND PRELIMINARY ORDER OF FORFEITURE

On January 16, 2009, a jury found defendants Isaac Yass and Robert Blechman guilty of one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and aggravated identity theft in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 371, six counts of mail fraud in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1341, and six counts of aggravated identity theft, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1028A. The First Superseding Indictment included a notice of the government’s intent to seek forfeiture pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 981(a)(1)(C) and 28 U.S.C. § 2461(c). The assets to be…
