Trademark suits against foreign defendants based upon exclusively online sales of allegedly counterfeit products are becoming increasingly common in this district, Courts here (including this Court) regularly enter injunctions and freeze the assets of counterfeiters who reside and operate exclusively in China and never set foot in Illinois.
