Before MATTHEWS, C.J., and RABINOWITZ, BURKE, COMPTON and MOORE, JJ. BURKE, Justice.

Eugene and Florence Cleary sued Donald Thomas, Theodore Sherwin, and the accounting firm of Thomas, Head and Greisen1 (THG) for professional malpractice. *1091Following a nine-day trial, a jury found the defendants negligent and concluded that their negligence was the proximate cause of damage to the Clearys in the amount of $212,269.
