The plaintiff, Lubertha Ratliff, filed a petition for a hearing before a workers’ compensation referee on August 31, 1973. The petition was mailed to the defendant, General Motors Corporation, on September 7, 1973. The petition alleged that plaintiff suffered from disabling "psychosis, traumatic neurosis, nerves and related conditions” caused by the "constant and repeated harassment from [her] supervisor”. After hearings conducted in June and September, 1976, the referee issued his decision on September 30, 1976, finding that plaintiff failed to prove that she had received a personal injury…
