This appeal is from the judgment and from the order denying plaintiff’s motion for a new trial. The cause was tried before a jury, which gave its verdict for defendant. The action was to recover damages for personal injuries. The facts and circumstances are the following: Powell Street runs northerly and southerly in the city and county of San Francisco. It is crossed to the north by Geary Street and to the south by O’Farrell Street. Plaintiff’s office was in the Elkan Gunst Building, situated at the southwest corner of Geary and Powell Streets.
