The defendants appeal from an order denying motion to vacate a default judgment in the superior court in Los Angeles in a suit to recover some forty thousand dollars upon a judgment alleged to have been rendered in the superior court of King County, in the state of Washington, on January 5, 1918.
Judgment was entered on June 4, 1918. Notice of motion to vacate the default judgment was given on November 9, 1918. It was accompanied by an affidavit of the defendant and a copy of the proposed answer. The judgment of the Washington court was attacked on the ground of fraud. It is stated in the…
