COFFIN, Circuit Judge.

In this diversity case appellant, on her own behalf and as administratrix of her late husband’s estate, sued appellee insurance company to recover $20,000, the maximum coverage on a comprehensive personal liability policy. Following a trial without a jury, the district judge found for appellee and appellant took this appeal. The major question we face is whether the policyholders, by giving notice of an accident which referred by number to one liability policy issued by their insurer, fulfilled the notice requirement of a second liability policy of the same insurer,…
