Plaintiff-Appellees are two ironworkers who were severely injured in the course of the reconstruction of the Interstate-10 twin span bridge across Lake Pontchartrain. The appellees performed part of their work from a derrick barge, the BIG MAC, and part of their work from the bridge structure. The district court determined one employee to be a seaman on summary judgment, and determined the other employee to be a seaman after a bench trial.
