Three municipal court actions—one for each plaintiff—were filed by Charles Danley, Warren Mendonca, and A. T. Ashton (hereinafter, “plaintiffs”) against Applegate Drayage Company (hereinafter, “defendant”) on November 17, 1965. On January 5, 1970, the municipal court denied defendant’s motions to dismiss the actions for plaintiffs’ failure to bring them to trial within tyro years after their commencement (Code Civ. Proc., § 583, subd. (a))..
