Christopher Rickard appeals from a summary judgment entered in favor of Shoals Distributing, Inc. Rickard filed a complaint against Shoals on December 31, 1991, alleging that Shoals had terminated his employment because he had filed a workers' compensation claim, and that Shoals had therefore violated Ala. Code 1975, § 25-5-11.1. Rickard alleges that he injured his back while working on March 19, 1990, that he filed a workers' compensation claim, and that he went on medical leave.
