This was an action by the appellant against the appellees. . The complaint is in two paragraphs. The first is on a promissory note executed by the defendants to the plaintiff. The second was for goods sold and delivered.
The defendants filed an answer in four paragraphs. 1st. The general denial. 2d. No consideration for the note sued on. 3d. That the note' was obtained by fraud in the sale of a patent right. 4th. By way of cross complaint.
