Plaintiff brought this action to recover damages for the conversion of a quantity of shoe-repair machinery and equipment. Trial before a jury resulted in a verdict for plaintiff. From a judgment on the verdict, defendants have appealed.

The facts which the jury was entitled to believe and find, in support of its verdict, are as follows:
