In this action, the complaint alleges that on July 8, 1967, Lizette Jacques and Dianne Jacques, hereinafter referred to as the plaintiffs, sustained injuries as a result of the collision between the automobile they were riding in and an automobile operated by Maureen A. Cassidy and owned by Jeannette M. Cassidy, hereinafter referred to as the defendants.
