MEMORANDUM OPINION

ELLIS, District Judge.

Plaintiffs Teresa T. Diaz and Timothy J. Hall brought this action under the federal Equal Credit Opportunity Act (“ECOA” or “Act”), 15 U.S.C. §§ 1691 et seq., and its Virginia counterpart (“VA ECOA”), 1 Va. Code § 59.1-21.21:1, when they were denied a home loan because of their status as an unmarried couple.
