This action is brought to recover on a promissory note made by the defendants to the Bishop Company of Fargo. It appears that the plaintiff is a banking corporation engaged in business in Fargo, North Dakota; that the defendants are engaged in the automobile business in Richland county; that the Bishop Company was, at the time of the transaction out of which this litigation grew, engaged in manufacturing and selling individual electric light plants.
