This eaSe is before us on a petition submitted by accused to review his conviction ■ for stealing $1655.00 belonging to his unit and some of its members. An Army general court-martial found him guilty of larceny in violation of Article 121, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 50 USC § 715, and imposed a sentence of dishonorable discharge, total forfeitures, and three years’ confinement at hard labor. The findings and sentence were approved and affirmed by intermediate appellate authorities. We granted the petition in order to pass on the question of…
