Brought to trial on seven specifications alleging violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, the accused moved to dismiss three of them on the ground that they were minor wrongs improperly joined with major offenses. The motion was granted. The accused was acquitted of one of the remaining charges and found guilty of a violation of a general regulation (Charge II and its specification), assault with a dangerous weapon (Additional Charge I, specification 2), and escape from confinement (Additional Charge III and its specification).
