The Tennessee Public Service Commission and its officers are granted certain authority, including the authority to regulate motor carriers pursuant to Title 65 of the Tennessee Code. Among the duties, responsibilities, and authority granted to the Public Service Commission and its officers is the permission to inspect the contents of motor carriers in certain circumstances.
