FARRIS, Circuit Judge:

This is an appeal from a conviction and sentence imposed following Alvester Fort’s guilty plea to a one-count indictment charging him with possession with intent to distribute approximately 561.2 pounds of marijuana, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1).

*478Fort’s conviction arose from the stop of his commercial truck by a Texas Department of Public Safety officer, Mike Scales. Fort filed a motion to suppress all evidence obtained as a result of this stop and the subsequent seizure of his truck. The' district court denied the motion. See United States v.
