Respondent, a shipbroker, brought this action to recover brokerage commissions as compensation for its services in procuring a charter party of the steamship Tofuku Maru. The complaint alleges that the plaintiff, at the request of the defendants, rendered services in procuring the execution of the charter party and did procure the same. It further alleges, that the charter party contained the agreement regarding commissions between plaintiff and defendants, and also that plaintiff’s services were' reasonably worth the sum of £12,148.10 British sterling, being five per cent of the gross amount…
