PERRY, Judge:

On June 26, 1974, the appellant was convicted by a general court-martial of wrongful distribution and possession of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and wrongful possession of marijuana, in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 934. He was sentenced to a dishonorable discharge, confinement at hard labor for 16 months, and forfeiture of all pay and allowances. While the convening authority approved the findings, he reduced the sentence to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement at hard labor for 9 months, and forfeiture of all pay…
