The defendant, J,afle, was indicted for the crime of criminally receiving stolen goods, knowing the same to have been stolen. He was subsequently convicted of an attempt to commit the said crime, and judgment of conviction was rendered by the Court of General Sessions of the Peace in and for the city and county of Hew York on the 24th day of May, 1904.
