After indicting Defendant-Appellee Jesus Manuel Rodriguez (“Rodriguez”) on one count of illegal importation and one count of illegal possession of marijuana, the government notified Rodriguez of its intent to introduce expert testimony as to the domestic street value of the 51 kilograms of marijuana that he was accused of illegally importing and possessing.
