Dennis Ray Bell was convicted of conspiracy to import marijuana in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 952(a), 963 (1982) and conspiracy to possess marijuana with intent to distribute in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1), 841(b)(6), 846 (1982) after pleading guilty to these offenses. In this direct appeal, Bell complains of the trial court’s failure to comply with Fed.R. Crim.P. 11(c)(1) in accepting Bell’s guilty plea, the denial of Bell’s motion to dismiss the indictment, the denial of various post-trial motions, and the eight year prison sentence Bell received.
