EVERETT, Chief Judge:

After appellant had entered mixed pleas, a general court-martial with members con*90victed him of four sex-related offenses involving his adopted daughter; and he was sentenced to a dishonorable discharge, confinement for 12 years, and reduction to airman first class. The convening authority approved the results; and the Court of Military Review affirmed in an unpublished opinion. Thereafter, this Court granted review of this issue:
