In this negligence action, the defendant, Precision Mechanical Services, Inc., appeals from the judgment of the trial court, rendered after a trial to the court, in favor of the plaintiff, Utica Mutual Insurance Company. The court found that the defendant was negligent and awarded the plaintiff damages in the amount of $664,373.02, plus interest at 6 percent from July 9, 1997, when the plaintiff received a subrogation receipt.
