This case involves two separate appeals. In the first, the state appeals, upon our grant *142of certification,1 from the judgment of the Appellate Court reversing the convictions of the defendants Bethzaida Padua, Wilfredo Cálvente and Miranda Virgilia Cálvente (Miranda Cálvente) of the crimes of conspiracy to sell marijuana within 1500 feet of a public housing project and risk of injury to a child.
