I. INTRODUCTION 1

This complex Superfund litigation has been proceeding under the supervision of Magistrate Judge David S. Perelman, who has prepared a Report and Recommendation (“R & R”) (Docket No. 597) recommending that the Court enter an order which would approve settlements and dismiss claims between and among more than two dozen parties in this case. Objections to the R & R have been filed by a single third-party defendant Archer-Daniels-Midland Co. (“ADM”) (Docket No. 608).
