HEDRICK, Judge.

Section 24-60 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Kinston reads as follows: “Appeals from the decisions of the Building Inspector shall be made to the Board of Adjustment. Appeals made from the Board of Adjustment shall be made to the Lenoir County Superior Court.”

G.S. § 160A-388(b) in pertinent part provides:

The Board of Adjustment shall hear and decide appeals from and review any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by an administrative official charged with the enforcement of any ordinance adopted pursuant to this Part. An appeal may be taken by any person…
