HOLDAWAY, Judge:
The appellant, Rosalie R. Bloom, appeals a May 1997 decision of the Board of Veterans Appeals (BVA or Board). The Board determined that her claim for dependency and indemnity compensation (DIC) was not well grounded because she had failed to submit evidence to show that her husband’s death was service connected. The Court has jurisdiction of the case under 38 U.S.C. § 7252. The appellant has filed an informal brief and the Secretary has filed a motion for summary affirmance.
