The defendant, Robert Kalman, appeals from the judgment of the trial court, rendered after a trial to the court, convicting him of the crime of possession of an assault weapon in violation of General Statutes § 53-202C. On appeal, the defendant claims that the court violated his due process rights by (1) concluding that a Maadi MISR firearm is a prohibited assault weapon under General Statutes (Rev. to 1999) § 53-202a 2 and (2) failing to conclude that § 53-202a is vague as applied to him under the circumstances of this case.
