This is a suit to recover damages for injury to Dorothy A. Vaas, a minor, as the result of being struck by an automobile driven by the defendant Harold Schrotenboer, 'owned by his father, Arthur Schrotenboer. The nominal plaintiff sues as guardian and assignee, therefore Dorothy A. Yaas, the real plaintiff in interest, will be referred to as the plaintiff, and Harold Schrotenboer, the driver of the automobile, will be designated as the defendant.
