The plaintiff in error, Ed Grayson, was convicted of forgery in the first degree, and in accordance with the verdict of the jury was sentenced to imprisonment in the state penitentiary for the term of seven years. The information charged him with the forging of a general warranty deed to the southwest quarter of section 20, township 14 north, range 13 east, situated in the county of Okmulgee. The deed purported to be executed by Jordon Thompson to one W. R. Rogers, consideration named twelve hundred dollars. It bears date of the 25th day of October, 1912, and acknowledged before E. Cleo…
