Gladys Burgos Lopez appeals from a district court judgment affirming a decision of the Secretary of Health and Human Services to deny her application for disability benefits under the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 416(i), 423(a) (1983).

Appellant worked as a cook’s assistant for the Department of Education of Puerto Rico until September 10, 1980, when she suffered a fall. On February 19, 1981, she applied for disability insurance under Title II of the Act, alleging that she was disabled with arthritis and headaches. That application was denied. On September…
