Garska, president of the village of Grosse Pointe Park, was convicted on the charge that he, being a public and executive officer of the village, and being engaged in keeping or ■maintaining a handbook wherein bets could be made upon horse races and wherein other gambling games were carried on, did knowingly conspire with August Bamberg, Gustave Pines, Samuel W.
