The employer, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department, appeals a decision of the compensation appeals board (board) finding that the claimant, Michael Alden, suffered a work-related injury and was entitled to workers’ compensation benefits. We reverse and remand.

The record reveals the following facts. The claimant testified that he was employed for approximately nineteen years as a deputy sheriff with the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department.
