KITE, Justice.

[T1] Cordero Mining Company (Corde-ro), a subsidiary of Kennecott Energy Company (Kennecott), contracted for work to be done at its mine in Campbell County. The general contractor and subcontractor were required to procure insurance naming Corde-ro as an additional insured. However, the subcontractor's policy failed to do so.
